To the Pumpkin Patch!

I'd wanted to go to Sauvies Island to get a few pumpkins for Halloween carving, consumption and decoration. I've been to the Pumpkin Patch before and it was so cute with the authentic farm feel. A fresh grown produce market, a petting barn for kiddies, candied apples and corn on the cobb. Even a hay ride out to the fields to collect and bring back your prized pumpkin. I couldn't wait to share the experience with Troy! I'd been talking about it since I first felt the twinge of chill in the air that ment fall was coming.

Lets just say that I think all of Portland was wanting that same experience! A line of cars formed just to cross the bridge that lead to the Island. Once we got to the farm the parking lot was stuffed with with minivans, SUV's and people pushing shopping carts full of pumpkins. At the farm there were running, screaming, pleading and ranting kids. Along with hovering parents that brought their kids in costume but then wouldn't let them play or get dirty. Sensory overload for me.

We found a parking spot, collected our pumpkins and were back in the car in less than 25 minutes. Yet the whole trip took 3 hours! LOL. Not quite the experience I wanted to share with Troy but memorable none the less.

I just had to show off my engagement ring! Troy spoiled me with this 1.02 carat ring! What's a girl to do but be blissfully happy and giddy. It is a bit big... but I think I'll get used to it. LOL

Suprise! We're having twins! Girls no less! Haha!

What a shocker to be joking with the ultrasound tech that we want her to look for twins when *poof* she scans the other side of my belly to show another baby. Troy and I did a slow-mo head turn to each other and smiled an 'oh-shit' grin! By the end of the 2 1/2 hour ultrasound Troy and I already discussed the new necessities we'll need such as a minivan and two of everything else.

It's the 10th of October... I'm almost 5 months pregnant. I feel better now than I did at 3 months. Morning sickness is for the birds. I have a little more energy to do things now than I have been. I can actually get things done around the apartments that I've been neglecting.

Troy and I go in for our first ultrasound on thrusday. I'm very excited! We'll get to learn the sex of the baby and also if we are having twins. I doubt I'm having twins but there is always the possibility. :-)

Oh what a happy couple - If not nervous to be parents.
